The role of the Production Lead is to coordinate and support the daily operations of a production team within a high-performing manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for driving productivity, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring safe and efficient workflows across assigned functional areas such as Welding, Quality, Coating, Shipping, or Fabrication.
The Lead will foster a positive team culture, support employee development, and act as a key liaison between frontline teams and leadership while demonstrating strong leadership behaviors and accountability.

Operations & Production Execution
- Coordinate daily production activities and ensure shift objectives are met
- Schedule and assign tasks based on team skills, priorities, and production demands
- Monitor workflow, identify bottlenecks, and escalate issues as needed
- Support on-time delivery and operational efficiency across assigned function
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, specifications, and procedures
- Support inspections, audits, and quality checks as applicable to functional area (QC, welding, coating, etc.)
- Promote continuous improvement and root cause problem-solving
Safety & Risk Management
- Enforce compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and regulations
- Identify hazards and support corrective actions to maintain a safe work environment
- Lead by example in maintaining strong safety practices
Training & Development
- Support onboarding and training of new employees
- Facilitate cross-training to improve workforce flexibility
- Coach team members on performance, skills, and company expectations
Communication & Coordination
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and cross-functional partners
- Provide shift updates on production, quality, and safety metrics
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation as required
Additional Responsibilities
- Represent the company in a professional and customer-focused manner
- Support continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, 5S, etc.)
- Assist with other duties as assigned
Show your expertiseRequired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Prior experience in one or more areas: Welding, Fabrication, Coating, Quality Control, or Shipping
- Demonstrated leadership or lead/crew lead experience preferred
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Availability to support 2nd shift operations
Preferred / Functional Experience (based on assignment)
- Welding: Knowledge of welding processes, blueprints, and fabrication practices
- Quality Control: Inspection methods, measurement tools, and quality systems
- Coating: Spray painting, surface prep, and coating thickness measurement
- Shipping: Material handling, packing, logistics coordination, ERP systems
- Fabrication: Equipment operation, layout, machining, or assembly processes
Pay: From $25.59 per hour
